Is a modular home built as strong as a site built home?
Yes, our modular homes are specifically designed to cope with the movement of transporting. We build our homes with a continual beam on the top of our walls and below our floor. We then tie from top to bottom with structural ply to make one big beam throughout the external walls.
Do your homes come with a warranty?
All our homes are registered with a home warranty insurance scheme and are covered with a six and a half year structural guarantee.
Fixtures and appliances are covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranty.
We are also passionate about our homes and back it up with a 90-day service to insure quality assurance after our homes are delivered. We service anything that needs attention, to ensure you are satisfied with your new home.
Do I need to take out insurance while my home is being transported?
No. Your home is fully insured.
Can we change walls or the design of your existing plans?
We encourage plan changes before contracts are signed or at planning stage, so we can quote accurately on your new home.
Who organizes the Building Permits?
As in the specifications, Rod Stephens Builders allow for Building Permits. All you have to do is provide us with the following information:

How long will my home take to build?
Our homes typically take 14-16 weeks to construct, depending on the size of home. A typical time frame from signing of contract to delivery of your home is about 4 months, this allows for the processing of your permits, by your Local Council.
What am I actually getting for the price?
We encourage all clients to visit our Display Homes (Rod can be contacted for consultation anytime). Our homes are built to the My Standard Inclusions List. There are NO hidden costs in our pricing.
Do you come out to our land?
We will come to you after our initial consultation, so we can check the fall of your land for a NO extras quote. All site inspections are not charged for, if located up to 300km from Warrnambool.
How long will it take to install the home on my block?
It usually takes 2-3 days to install, depending on the size of your home.
How can I see the progress of my new home when I live out of Warrnambool?
If you have an email address, we will send updated photos or send photos via regular post, so you can watch your new home being built.
